ABOUT TIBURON SPORTFISHING

Captain Frank (F.X.) Masse has been fishing the Mid-Atlantic region for over 30 years. Starting at a very young age F.X. was drawn to the ocean and grew up fishing wherever and whenever he could, from party boats to fishing piers. While in college a good friend introduced F.X. to big game shark and tuna fishing, and he was hooked! Since that time F.X. has focused his efforts on offshore fishing in the Northeast Canyons for tuna, white and blue marlin, wahoo, mahi – mahi, swordfish, and mako sharks.

Captain F.X. considers it a privilege to spend time offshore. Every trip is truly an adventure. The crew of the Tiburon takes great satisfaction in sharing these experiences with other enthusiasts, and encourages our guests to participate (to the extent they want to) in learning the skills of rigging baits, setting lines and gaffing fish.

F.X. has traveled to many wonderful destinations to sharpen his fishing skills, including Venezuela, Costa Rica, Cabo San Lucas, Cape Hatteras, the Bahamas, and Southern Florida through the Florida Keys. F.X.’s passion for fishing, strong work ethic, focus on preparation, and determination to succeed have proven to be instrumental to his success and accomplishments at sea. F.X. is proud that his love of the sport is shared by his wife Wendy, and sons Peter and Jack.

Captain F.X. Masse currently holds a USCG 100 Ton Masters License.
